In Loving memory of my Big Brother & Friend
Frederick E. Brougham November 5, 1942-December 19, 2004
We had known for a few years that Fred had liver problems. Unfortunately even close monitoring did not reveal the full extent of the problem. He was flown to the Mayo Clinic where tests showed that he had advanced liver cancer. He died in his sleep at the Mayo Clinic. His wife, kids & his "little brother" were at his side.
Fred will always be remembered for his love of children and the many wooden toys he made for charities at Christmas. Also, if you met Fred, then you were his friend. The more he loved you, the more he teased you. He enjoyed good health most of his life. He enjoyed the vast majority of his time in retirement. Please do not remember those few short weeks of illness and pain. Please do remember how much he loved his family, friends, hobbies and his 62 years of life.
My Brother, My Friend
( Fred's Funeral)
Big brother, you were with me when I was born
On that warm June Morn
You became my brother, my friend
When I was just a tyke,
You taught me to ride a bike
My brother, my friend
Years went by and when we were far apart
We were still connected at the heart
My brother, my friend
You were with me at the start
I was with you at the end
My brother, my friend

The Toy Maker
(Fred's funeral)
I'm busy as you can see
Making another toy for a little girl or boy
So they too have something under the tree
Each year it maybe something new
But nothing too difficult for hammer, nail, or screw
It might be a cradle, boat or train
Or maybe a doll house or plane
And when I'm gone you will remember me
By the smile on the face of every little girl or boy you see
In memory of my brother Fred Brougham
